I went on Amazon to look at the book preview and it turns out that Daughter of the Sun takes place in AD. An Ancestral Puebloan girl travels to the world of the Aztecs.

On the other hand, Woman of a Thousand Secrets takes a Taino girl and has her travel to the world of the Mayans in AD/5. Daughter of the Sun is the second book in the Tales of Inthya series, but it works perfectly as a standalone (though it did make me instantly buy the first book once Id finished!).

The world-building is perfect, and straddles that line between intriguing and familiar we have a fairly standard faux-medieval setting, but it This book is just /5. Daughter of the Sun is a beautiful book, with so many mesaages.

There is sweet romance, lessons on overconing betrayal, joy in goodness, growth, mirth. It is a joy to watch the chsracters explore new challenges and possibilities.

I love the subtle layers. A fitting tribute to the gods/5(52). Daughter of the Sun I enjoyed this book very much. The characters are very well developed and the story line keeps the reader involved and interested throughout the book.

Even the secondary characters are memorable; you care what happens to them/5(24). Daughter of the Sun is the first book I've read by author Barbara Wood. It is a fabulous book, and I can't say enough about it. It is a real page turner, and I found it difficult to put down until I had devoured the entire thing.

The book is incredibly well researched and well written.5/5(5). Daughter of the Sun by Laura Greenwood is a Egyptian Mythology story that I listened to on audio narrated by Sterling LeGrand-Carney.

This is the Daughter of the Sun book book in the Forgotten Gods series and can be read as a stand-alone. I absolutely love Laura’s books. Effie Calvin and Brenda Scott Wlazlo are a powerful force to be reckoned with. Daughter of the Sun is a thoroughly enjoyable ride, and Brenda's performance in this sequel to The Queen of Ieflaria is killer.
